LLMSTxt Generator collects no personal data whatsoever. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Why does the extension need permissions?

Permissions like activeTab, scripting, offscreen, and downloads are required to parse pages and copy Markdown to your clipboard—nothing else.

Is my data shared with third parties?

No. We do not sell, rent, or share any data. No third-party tracking or analytics are built into the extension.

1. No Personal Data Collection

LLMSTxt Generator does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data or browsing history. All processing happens locally in your browser.

2. Permissions Explained

The extension requests only the permissions necessary to function:

activeTab: Parse the DOM of the active page when you invoke the extension.
scripting: Inject our cleanup script to strip out ads, styles, and boilerplate.
offscreen: Process complex pages offscreen without disrupting your browsing.
<all_urls>: Allow conversion on any page you choose—nothing runs unless you click.
downloads: Copy generated Markdown to your clipboard via a temporary download; no files are saved unless you explicitly download them.

3. Cookies & Tracking

No cookies, localStorage, or trackers are used by the extension. Your conversions remain private and ephemeral.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not embed any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The extension is 100% self-contained.

5. Security

All code runs within Chrome’s sandbox under Manifest V3. We have no access to your files or data outside the pages you convert. Review the source on GitHub.
